Our experience began in research, consumer understanding, strategy, communications and media.
Over time, we saw that organisations were rarely short of information, ideas or plans.
The deeper problem happened earlier.
Important work was beginning before leaders had clearly decided:
what was really happening;
what choice needed to be made;
which evidence mattered;
which assumptions were still unproven;
what deserved to be funded, limited, changed or stopped.
The weakness was not always in the strategy.
It was often in the decisions that came before it.
The organisation did not lack a plan.
